I recently took a trip to Las Vegas for a few days for a crypto meetup. It was such a good time as I’ve met many great people and had many great experiences.

Coming back home got me inspired to take action.

The people I met were some of the most productive and innovative I’ve seen in quite some time. These guys knew how to live, how to live well, and were no stranger to struggle and sacrifice.

These were the type of people I’ve been looking for.

Now don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the day to day life where I am at. But, there comes a point where the routine becomes mundane – and this is both a good and bad thing.

When I got back from my trip, I recounted about 30 different items and experiences that stuck out to me. I decided to go over this list and do my best to learn and grow from them. There have even been some actions I’ve taken recently as part of this endeavor – one on which is a service offering.

A bit of background, my career path started as a supervisor of a small town grocery store. I then proceeded to become manager and then took off to college to become a software developer. The preparation leading up to the move guaranteed me to be the top of my class as I studied every day for three years prior. After my first year, I got hired as a cyber security analyst and quickly moved up the ranks working in now over a dozen industries and completing various certifications.

Along the way, I’ve developed bits and pieces of simple tools and resources to assist others in understanding how important cyber security is to us all (i.e., Cyber Solder, The Citadel). I even wrote an in-depth article on cyber warfare, which made it as a top story on Hackernoon.

I listened to what I felt right and pursued the development of whatever idea came to mind. However, I did this without understanding or knowing anything about the bigger picture. It wasn’t until this recent trip to Vegas that I started putting the pieces together. My most recent project was to spin up a consulting service and that’s when it started to become clear to me.

Each tool, resource, and service I built all surrounded around a certain theme. And so I decided to combine all of my work together and offer what is now my Crypto Security Advisory service!

Crypto Security Advisor combines my technical knowledge, cyber expertise, and crypto experience into an advisory service offering – any topic related to crypto or cyber security can be discussed.

When I was in Vegas, I got talking to four guys, all of which lost a combined total of $150k due to a lack of cyber security awareness. Their losses could have been prevented if they would have used one of items I’ve developed. I now offer a tier of products and services, depending on one’s needs:

  1. Bronze level: Cyber Soldier is a free website that provides cyber security awareness for everyone.
  2. Silver level: The Citadel Book is a book that provides information on how to secure your crypto.
  3. Gold level: Crypto Security Advisor provides one-on-one consultation on anything crypto.

I’m excited about these offerings as I want to see everyone be cyber aware.
