Yes, here is yet another blog post on the uncertainty facing us today.
I want to share my experience and outlook.
Truth: there will always be ups and downs in life.
I have experienced both the mountain and the valley one can find themself in. I can say that our society has been climbing a mountain that seemed to never peak, until now. Some experts knew this and warned us. However, the warnings fell on unattentive ears.
What do we do now? I do not know.
What I do know however is that in times of uncertainty and change, there is massive opportunity. If you are blessed to have more time than you know what to do with, use it wisely! Learn a new craft or perfect a recipe you have been dying to try out. Catch up on rest and relaxation.
When I was unemployed for over a year, I knew that the time I had mattered. I read over 50 books during this time and sharpened my skills for I knew that one day, I will have to put this knowledge to the test.
It is because of this refining time in my life that I write to you. I learned how to develop apps, invest in the stock market, where my skills and strengths lie, and yes, even recorded and released an album.
More importantly, uncertainty tests character and resilience. This may be the start of the low point in your life. I want to encourage you to keep going and know that diamonds are only formed under pressure! It also may be time you find a stronger foundation to base your life upon.
For those of us who are on the mountain, I strongly encourage you to reach out to those in the valley and help wherever you can. We need this more than ever.
A short blog post on my response to the current situation.
Blessings,
John
